Launching a new car brand in a country with over 40 competitors and limited resources was ambitious to say the least. But we love a challenge at The Works. Volkswagen had spent considerable time and expense transforming Skoda into a quality European manufacturer, so in 2007 we threw ourselves into bringing that success story Down Under.
We kicked off with a TV spot that broke every convention of car advertising. It was the most remembered and liked car advertisement of the year, spiking awareness on a fraction of the media spend of the big guys.
That has been followed with integrated campaigns that have helped make Skoda the fastest growing European car brand in Australia for three years running.
